Bútlak is Hiligaynon for the rising sun — the first light of a new day. Tumandok Crafts Industries is showing its capiz shell collection this year, alongside 178 brands from across the Negros Island Region.

Capiz shell, treated by hand
Tumandok’s showcase for this year’s fair is built around capiz shell — carefully treated and shaped into houseware and statement décor, a craft the company has developed since 1988. Expect trays, coasters, wall-mounted hampers, and the capiz ball lamp collection.
About the Fair
Forty years of the Negros Trade Fair
Bútlak: The 40th Negros Trade Fair is organized by the Association of Negros Producers, in partnership with SM Supermalls. The fair began as a grassroots effort by around 30 vendors after the Negros sugar industry collapse, and has grown into a showcase of 178 brands from Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor.
Tumandok has taken part in past editions of the Negros Trade Fair, and returns this year with its capiz shell collection.
